A welcoming, volunteer led community centre at the heart of Scholes, Cleckheaton, Kirklees and the wider area.
Run by local people, for local people. Join us for weekly groups and activities, or hire our venue for your next event or party.
The ever popular "Brushstrokes by Janet" has announced a new evening class from Thursday 7th January 19:00 - 21:00. See events page for details. Please book early as Janet's classes fill up fast.
Run entirely by local volunteers, our hub provides an inclusive, friendly space where no one has to feel isolated. In the Kirklees area where services can be limited, we offer practical support, social connection, and safe spaces for residents of all ages, including families, older adults, and low-income households.
Social & Peer Support: Drop-in sessions, coffee mornings, and friendly networks to tackle loneliness.
Children & Families: Safe, accessible activity groups and play opportunities.
Practical Assistance: A warm, welcoming space and practical help during colder months for those facing fuel poverty.
Our community building is more than just a meeting place—it’s a hub for local life. We offer flexible, affordable space to hire for a wide range of uses, including:
Community Groups & Classes: Support groups, fitness classes, educational workshops, and hobby clubs.
Children's Parties & Celebrations: Safe, well-equipped space for family events and kids' activities.
Community Initiatives: Any project, service, or event that brings value and support to our local neighbourhood.
Every booking directly helps fund our volunteer-led charitable work in the Kirklees area.
